The city lawyer and a politician Benson Milimo want the National government to release title deeds to farmers in Trans Nzoia County.
Milimo who spoke in Cheranganyi on Thursday, said the land document can act as security to farmers when they apply for loans or farm inputs’’ When you have this important land document you can qualify to take loans or farm inputs and you won’t struggle so much’’ said Milimo.
Milimo challenged Trans Nzoia county government to put strategies in place and ensure subsidized fertilizer reach farmers on time despite of rain delay. He further asked the county government to have a bench marking with Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) to link them on how to get subsidized DAP fertilizer apart from Mavuno. KTDA supplies fertilizer in a cheap price to its coffee farmers.
Milimo did not hesitate to call upon leaders in power to deliver according to the pledges they made during the 2017 general election. Milimo is the favorite FK candidate who will compete with Cheranganyi MP Joshua Kuttuny come 2022.
He asked Christians to pray for rain during this festive season.
