Students and parents have been told to seek for advice on carrier courses before they enroll to avoid disappointments at the end of studying.

Addressing form four students from Kiungani and Kitale Secondary School at the Equip Africa College during the mentor ship training program, Director Dr.David Ilwangale and college Principle Mr.Daniel Kosgey said majority of the students after completing high school they have been enrolling to the wrong carrier courses that are not helpful at the end of their studies.

Dr.Ilwangale asked parents and students to choose the correct courses and not to rush for any courses that Universities offers to them.

He told parents not to force their children to take courses they wish instead they should be seeking for advice on carrier courses before they take. He said they will be moving in Schools within Trans Nzoia among other counties as they offer free mentor ship on carrier choice.

”We have seen many youths with diplomas or degrees and have no jobs after completing their studies in Universities or colleges because of poor carrier choice, for us we shall continue to help them through
free mentor ship program” said Kosgey. Equip Africa College is a wing of Mt.Kenya University.
