Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KNCCI) now want the administration of President Uhuru Kenyatta to go Indian way that those who have hidden millions of money in their homes to be forced to take them to the bank in order to allow circulation of the new currency.
The Trans Nzoia KNCCI President elect Martin Waliaula said on Monday that there is no circulation of money to small traders challenging the Central Bank of Kenya to act immediately’’ Let the government impose the law on those who have hidden millions of money in their houses to take to the bank for Kenya Revenue Authority to deduct the revenue and allow circulation to small traders’’ said Waliaula.
Waliaula further said as the KNCCI they will support Governor Patrick Khaemba if he does the right thing on traders within and outside the town.
Waliaula spoke during the KNCCI annual general meeting held in Kitale Museum. He will be serving his second term as the County President. Various stakeholders attended the successful annual meeting.
